Drive To Chamundi Hills
The temple of Chamundeswari and the big statue on the hills is popular. This historical temple is open between 6.00 AM and 2.00 PM and again from 4.00 PM and 9.00 PM. In many places atop the hills, the whole of Mysuru city can be viewed. Picture postcards as souvenirs and few handcrafts are sold on the hills. Buses ply regularly from the city bus stand located just behind the temple.
Jaganmohan Palace
This Art Gallery located to the west with walking distance to the main palace, Which is the famous Art Gallery. It was built during the rule of Krishna raja wodeyar III in 1861 to celebrate the marriage of his daughter, the princess of mysuru, because the main palace was destroyed in a fire 1897. The main door of this museum is itself a masterpiece of Art with intricate carvings which is said to have been made in just 70 days.
Mysuru Zoo
Mysuru Zoo was started in AD 1892 by the then king of mysuru, initially as a private zoo, and was named as khas bangle. It was also called tamasha bangle the zoo which has now spread over an area of 250 acres, was initially meant for the exclusive visit of the royal family but public entry started as early in 1920.

Silver Jubilee Clock Tower
Built-in Indo – Saracenic style, this 75 feet tall square clock tower has a curvilinear chhajja lending a Rajasthani touch to the domed canopy which rests on a consoled base. just above the 5-foot diameter clock set on a base amidst a well-tended circular garden, the handsome design has double arches and framing slit windows of early English church architecture. The tower was built during the silver jubilee of the reign of Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV (1927)

St. Philomena’s Church
St. Philomena’s Church The Roman Catholic Church was built in AD 1840. It was initially known as St. Joseph Chaver which later assumed the present name. The twin towers of the church stand majestically at 175 feet, the design is gothic and it is said to resemble the St. Patrick’s Cathedral at New York and a church at cologne. The church is located about 1 Km from mysuru palace on the Bangaluru highway.
