Subramanya

Subramanya is a small village, deep in the forests bordering the Western Ghats about 105 km from Mangalore in the state of Karnataka, in southern India.It is a pilgrim center in the Sullia Taluk in South Kanara district, believed to be the abode of Subramanya, the second son of Lord Shiva who has more power in removing the bad and malefic effects of planet and also solving sarpa shanthi. The Kukke Subrahmanya Temple is located in the heart of the village.

Pilgrims going to Kukke Subrahmanya Temple in Subrahmanya have to cross the Kumaradhara River. They take a holy bath in the river and then go on to the temple to have darshan in que. There is also another river called the Darpana theertha which flows just behind the temple. Legend says those who does the prayer with good heart and believe god will really help them for solving all the problems.

The belief is that Vasuki and other snakes took refuge under God Subrahmanya in the caves at Subramanya. Here God Subrahmanya is worshipped as a snake. This is the god’s divine power.

Day 1: Departure

DELHI / CHANDIGARH – SHIMLA Drive from Delhi to Shimla (343 kms, 8 hrs) arrive Shimla. Transfer to hotel. Overnight at Shimla.

Day 2

SHIMLA CITY TOUR One of the most popular hill Resorts of the North. The town is situated at an altitude of 6810 ft, initially chosen as a sanatorium for invalid European officers, but soon developed into a big hill town and became the summer capital of the country. There are ample opportunities in Shimla for sports. This day departure for full day sightseeing to Chail ( Chail Palace, World’s highest Cricket ground, Sidh Temple and Kali Ka Tibba) and Kufri ( Deshu Peak and Meshu Peak). Dinner at resort in Shimla. Overnight at resort in Shimla.

Day 3

SHIMLA – MANALI Drive from Shimla to Manali (280 kms. 8 hrs) Arrive Manali Transfer to hotel. Dinner and Overnight at hotel.

Day 4

MANALI – LOCAL SIGHT SEEING Walk through town visiting newly constructed Buddhist Monastery. Hadimba Devi temple-It is small temple situated in the dense forest is very interesting. Hadimba is said to be the wife of Bhima from the epic of Mahabharata. Vashisht, it is an extremely picturesque little place clinging to the steep hill side. On the way up to the village you come upon the Vashisht hot baths where a natural sulphur spring is piped into a modern bath -house. Dinner and Overnight at Manali.

Day 5

MANALI – ROHTANG PASS Full day tour of Rohtang Pass – The majesty of the mountains and the glaciers can be seen at their best; you have next two hours to enjoy this snowy haven. Take a sledge ride down the slopes, try your luck climbing the little snow hills. On your descents to Manali, halt at the Rahalla falls and Solang Valley. The Magnificent views and natural beauty are a never-ending source of delight. Also halt at Marhi, Ralha falls, Nehru Kund. Return to the hotel for Overnight stay at Manali.

Day 6

MANALI TO CHANDIGARH (320kms, approx. 09 hrs drives) Morning drive to Chandigarh. Arrive Chandigarh check in the hotel and now proceed to sightseeing tour of Chandigarh including Rock Garden, constructed almost entirely out of city garbage; Rose Garden 30 landscaped acres containing a variety of 1600 roses; Museum & Art Gallery housing a good collection of sculptures and paintings. Overnight at Chandigarh.

Day 7: Return

AIRPORT / RAILWAY STATION DROP After breakfast checkout from the hotel and proceed for Airport / Railway Station. TOUR END
