Talakaveri is around 8 kms from Bhagamandala (Or 48 kms from Madikeri) is where the river Kaveri is considered to taken birth. This place has the temple of Kaveriamma visited by 1000s of pilgrims daily. River kaveri is the sacred river in india which is in south part. The tank to which a small water spring feeds water is believed to be the source for river kaveri. Here in talakaveri we can see the temple of lord Agastheeswara a small temple. Here there are 2 temples one is the temple of lord Bholenath which consists of antique shiva linga and other is the temple of lord vinaayaka. lord vinaayaka is famous for siddi and buddhi which means success and huge knowledge.
The brahmagiri hill is a spot of natural beauty which is 1275 meters above sea level can be accessed from Madikeri through a motorable road. You can reach by your private vehicle or state run KSRTC buses. This location is side of Thalakavery shrine on a hillock. To reach top people has to climb 360 step to see the beautiful place of nature’s valley.
